Marina Bay Sands will be deploying additional security personnel and activating our security plans for major events such as New Year's Day countdown for the upcoming drone shows from 11 February. As large crowds are anticipated, we recommend that members of the public consider alternative viewing locations for the show, as the 10-minute performance can be viewed across the entire 3.5km belt of the Marina Bay waterfront.

All access points for entry and exit at Bayfront MRT will be open, subject to capacity constraints.
However, depending on the crowd situation, MRT Exit D (near Sampan area in the mall) may be closed for arriving guests, who will be diverted to MRT Exit C to enter the promenade.

The entrance/exits located on Level 1 of The Shoppes stretching from BlackTap to Da Paolo Gastronomia will be closed progressively from 5pm to 10pm.
From 7pm onwards, guests will only be able to enter/ exit via the doors on L1 of The Shoppes at the following areas;
Additional measures will be applied to control the capacity at the Promenade, based on the on-site situation and at the discretion of Marina Bay Sands’ crowd management measures.
Families with strollers and individuals in wheelchairs will still be able to access the Waterfront Promenade/Marina Bay area. However, as large crowds are anticipated, we encourage you to take more care in your travel plans if you intend to head down.
Drone flights may be impacted by unpredictable weather conditions, and final show timings may change on the actual day. This is to ensure an optimal viewing experience and to ensure safety for visitors and working crew.
Visitors should check for updates on cancellations or deferments of the scheduled shows before making their trip to the Marina Bay area. Any changes will be communicated on MBS’ social media channels and website.

As most doors to the mall will be closed progressively from 5pm as part of our enhanced crowd control measures, they will remain closed even in rainy weather. Please disperse from the Event Plaza in a safe and orderly manner from the sides of the Waterfront Promenade, and listen to the instructions of our security personnel.
